Hannah applequist

 
 

Hannah Applequist is an active percussionist and private lessons instructor in Central Kansas. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance, studying with Dean Kranzler, Rebecca Copley, and Tatiana Tessman. Hannah was a twice-featured soloist with the Kansas Wesleyan Wind Ensemble, performing Nathan Daughtrey’s Concerto for Vibraphone and Wind Ensemble.

With over a decade of performance experience, Hannah is currently a percussionist with the Salina Symphony (joining in 2012). She is set to make her debut as a featured soloist with the symphony this fall, performing Paul Dooley’s The Soaring Souls.

Hannah is also a regular drummer and percussionist for the pit orchestra of Theatre Salina. This July, she will be compleating her 30th musical with the theatre. She also plays percussion with the band, Everyday Lights, a Folk/Americana band, among other local groups.
